03 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, packed in oil, drained and chopped
05 - 2 cups fresh baby spinach

→ Dairy

06 - 1 cup heavy cream
07 - 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
08 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

→ Liquids

09 - 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth

→ Spices & Seasonings

10 - 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
11 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
12 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
13 - 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

# Directions:

01 - Evenly coat the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and dried Italian herbs.
02 - Place the chopped onion, garlic, and sun-dried tomatoes into the base of the slow cooker. Arrange the seasoned chicken breasts over the vegetables.
03 - Pour the low-sodium chicken broth and heavy cream over the chicken. Distribute the unsalted butter in small dollops across the surface.
04 - Secure the lid and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
05 - Remove the chicken breasts using tongs and set aside. Stir the grated parmesan cheese and fresh baby spinach into the sauce; allow spinach to wilt for about 5 minutes.
06 - Return the chicken breasts to the slow cooker. Spoon the parmesan cream sauce generously over the chicken, and continue cooking on low for an additional 5 to 10 minutes.
07 - Serve the Tuscan chicken hot, garnished with additional parmesan if desired.

# Helpful Tips:

01 -
  • This chicken comes out unbelievably tender, thanks to hours of gentle simmering—you’ll think it cooked itself.
  • The sauce is so luxurious and garlicky, you’ll be swiping every last bit with bread.
02 -
  • If you’re tempted to skip draining the sun-dried tomatoes, don’t—too much oil makes the sauce greasy.
  • Adding the spinach too early will turn it soggy and dull, so wait until the end for the freshest flavor.
03 -
  • Sneak a spoonful of grated parmesan into the sauce as it finishes for extra richness.
  • Let the chicken rest for a minute before slicing so it stays incredibly juicy.
