01 - Place the shredded coconut in a blender and pour in the hot water.
02 - Blend on maximum power for 2 to 3 minutes until the mixture is homogeneous and creamy.
03 - Pour the mixture through a cheesecloth or clean kitchen towel set over a large bowl. Squeeze firmly to extract all the coconut milk.
04 - Transfer the strained coconut milk to a clean bottle using a funnel.
05 - Refrigerate for up to 4 days. Shake well before each use.
